Finding yourself with an ugly lip gloss or lipstick stain? Here’s how to remove lip gloss stains from fabric.
I don’t know how it happened, but happen it did.
All I know is that one day I went into my twin daughters’ bedroom and lying there was an uncapped Burt’s Bees Lip Shimmer tube and a baby doll bum covered in its hue.My young children think because it looks like chapstick, it must be okay for them to use liberally, including my three-year-old son. I am not sure if they applied it on their own lips and then wiped the overabundance onto the nearest fabric, or if they colored with the lip gloss directly onto the fabric itself. Unfortunately, their fabric of choice was the rear end of one of our baby dolls!
These baby dolls have been in our family for years, so they’ve seen their fair share of love and abuse (mostly love thankfully).
I tried wiping it off with some water and a cloth, adding a little dish soap to remove the lip gloss, but it did not work.
So, I pulled out a household chemical that I have found works cleaning wonders around the home – ammonia.
It stinks, and it’s strong, but it works amazing and quick, and is very affordable (you can find it in most cleaning aisles).
So grab a bottle of ammonia and follow this cleaning tutorial on how to remove lip gloss stains from fabric, clothes, and even baby doll bums.
