First an update. Josh and I went to the Louisville Temple this weekend! It was great experience, except for Josh getting sick at dinner… But, our girls apparently had a great time with the family from church who watched them for the day. In fact Alison was having so much fun she only napped for about 30 minutes the whole day and was still happy and having a great time when we arrived to take her home! Needless to say she crashed on the drive home and has been tired and crabby today. Also, we are way excited that BYU won their second round in the NCAA tournament! Let’s go cougars!!
Anyways, this post is titled “walking” for a reason: we wanted to share a video of Lisa walking! She has come a long way from her first steps that she took over a month ago. She can go across the whole room without falling down, and can pick things up as she goes. She’s finally gotten the hang of it. What they say about “baby steps” is true. It takes time to really leave how to walk. (That’s why Alison still only takes a few steps, but she’s learning fast too and getting better all the time!)
I would also like to share a fun video of Lisa copying her dad. She and Josh were going back and forth panting at each other and it’s pretty darn cute. I’ve tried to get her do this with me, but she won’t: she really only does it with Josh! Guess it’s their first Daddy-daughter thing.
And in case you don’t like watching videos, here’s some cute pictures of Lisa and Alison. Lisa likes to pull open the drawer in the entertainment center she knows we don’t like her going into (one drawer is their toy drawer) and found the TV/VCR remote and did this to our TV:
Lisa also makes funny faces, and Alison has the sweetest smile:
