We did it. We cut off Alison’s beautiful, curly, and very long tresses. And I’m really sad about it, honestly. But, we did it not for vanity’s sake, but for sanity’s. Alison hated having her combed, brushed, and put in any amount of ponytails. It was a wrestling match every. single. time. But, she really needed it out of the way because wisps of hair would fall in food, in her eyes, and in any runny boogies coming out her nose, causing her hair to get snarly, and make the whole ordeal harder.
So, with much sadness, I decided it was time, for Alison’s sake, to just chop off her long locks, and leave her with something like this:
This is the FIRST time we have cut the back of Alison’s hair, and look at how much we cut off! We have only ever cut her bangs before. That adds to the sadness factor. It was all her baby hair! We hope it will stay beautiful, full, and curly, because she had some of the most beautiful (and crazy) hair around.
We also cut Lisa’s hair again, because her hair was looking a little crazy too, like so:
After she pulls out her pigtails…
eating a doughnut… or at least the frosting
How her hair looked most days
So, we gave her much more bangs, and made her hair much shorter overall… much shorter than I think I really intended to make it. I really should take them to have it done at a salon, because I am no hair cutter!
