We have been diligently working on making our third bedroom an actual bedroom in preparation for our son’s arrival. Previously it was an art/storage/computer room with no room left over for a crib or anything baby related (see THIS post for what it looked like before). Needless to say, it’s been quite the project. We moved our computer desk and old computer into our bedroom (and rearranged our bedroom in the process) and got a new computer (that Josh built) and desk set up downstairs as well. I packed up my art table and art supplies. We reorganized all the boxes and our closet. We sold off some things (a crib mattress, a swing, etc) and convinced Josh’s parents to let us store some boxes of baby girl clothes in their house. Fortunately, we were given a nice changing table from someone at church and were able to finish furnishing that room.
Here’s the final results:
So, as you can see, part boy’s nursery, still part storage room. But, it will work just fine and we’ve tried to add some decorations (car strings thanks to my baby shower!) We’ve also added in some baby items into other rooms in our house, like a (very girly, sorry son!) pack n’ play in our bedroom:
And can you believe we are to the SINGLE DIGITS until my due date?! That’s right – 9 days left. Tonight I have a doctor’s appointment. We’ll see if I’m progressing at all. I think/feel like my belly may have dropped, but I don’t know for sure. But, my appetite has been greater (aka I can eat more in one sitting) and the pressure on my hips/lower back have seemed greater, plus way more sciatic nerve issues.
I’m definitely tired most of the time and am glad that most of the cleaning and prep is done so I can just sleep, read, and take it easy until he comes.
Anyone want to guess when he’ll come? My due date is March 9. And any guesses how big he’ll be?
