Josh and I have very little time to the two of us after the girls go to bed, so we’ve been trying to come up with things to do together, other than our favorite pastime of movies or TV shows (off hulu or netflix). So, the last few nights we’ve been playing an on-going game of Text Twist on Yahoo!. We are an unstoppable team at it. Josh is great at getting the 6-letter words, and I am good at all the smaller ones, and we work together to figure it all out. I man the keyboard and we have fun laughing about words we spell wrong, trying to make them work, and complaining about words they don’t accept while accepting others. It is silly that we do this, but it’s fun. Sadly, our on-going game has ended, not because we failed, but because Firefox had to reboot, and erased our score, but it was almost 500,000 points. (I dare you to beat that!)
I personally love word games, especially Boggle. Josh and I have even been known to do crosswords together, which is fun because Josh is full of knowledge on just about every subject. I love board games, and card games, and word games, and games of all sorts and sizes. However, Josh does not, so anytime he is willing and wanting to play a game, it makes me so happy, even if I don’t like losing.
I love doing things with Josh, even if we only get about an hour to ourselves after the girls go to bed for the night (around 7:30pm) because we go to bed around 9:30pm every night. So, my question is, what do you do with your sweeties on a daily basis to keep things interesting? What do you consider quality time with them, especially when your time is limited and has certain restrictions (like having to stay at home, or not cost anything)?
