Since our girls were born we have enjoyed playing music, singing music, listening to music, and immersing ourselves in nursery rhymes, and it’s paid off: our girls love music. They love singing.
Here’s some videos of the girls and Josh singing some nursery rhymes before bedtime. And, yes, Alison is wear her Halloween costume to bed. That thing cost $30 so you bet we’re getting its money worth out of it!
Here they are singing Row, Row, Row Your Boat – a definite favorite with the screaming and roaring:
Next is our girls trying to sing the Alphabet Song or ABC’s. Very cute:
And here is the Itsy-Bitsy Spider, one they love doing as well:
For all those of the LDS faith you will recognize this classic Primary Song – Popcorn Popping:
Sadly, we don’t have video of them singing The Wheels on the Bus. When we get to “All through the town” Lisa says “ALL” very loud and long, with her mouth open real big. It’s very cute, especially accompanied by all the arm circling, going round and round.
I recently taught the girls how to play Ring Around the Rosie, and they love it. Alison won’t always fall down though, but will almost always come and try to “pull” me up off the ground so we can start again. We also tried to teach them London Bridges one day and it went pretty well, but haven’t played it too much since.
What are you kids favorite songs to sing, do gestures to, or dance to? What are their favorite games to play?
