I was excited to receive a Panda Crate from them to review!
I have a toddler who is the perfect age for this box, as it’s designed for babies ages 0-24 months.
What is Panda Crate?
Panda Crate is Kiwi Co’s baby subscription box offering and it’s perfect for your little one’s developing brain! Each box is catered to your child’s current age, full of learning toys and activities you can do with your baby.
These crates are research-backed, as they are designed in partnership with Seattle Children’s Hospital. They encourage hands-on play, book reading as each one comes with a book, and developmentally appropriate.
Why Panda Crate?
As a toddler mom, I don’t have a lot of downtime to research childhood development, and that was one of my weaker subjects in college. But, I know it’s important to spend intentional play and learning time with my babies and toddlers.
You likely know this too.
The purpose of the Panda Crate, and really any baby subscription box, is to make it easy for you to do just that!
Panda Crates deliver 2 months’ worth of age-appropriate products and activities every other month. This gives you plenty of time to use the items, and means no second-guessing what to buy as you stand in the baby toy aisle.
Panda Crate Review
I received the Count With Me Panda Crate to review. This specific box is designed for babies 13-18 months old. My child was 19 months old at the time I received it, in September 2019.
This is an early math crate which is pretty neat! One-to-one correlation, shapes, sizes, counting, sizes, are all great things your child can learn with this box.
Panda Crate Unboxing Video
Because I thought it would be fun, I had my toddler help me do the unboxing, and go her cute toddler reactions on video! Please watch it, and read on for more information about what came in the box, Panda Crate costs, and if I think it’s worth the cost.
Here is what I received in my Count With Me Panda Crate:
- Nesting Baskets
- Stacking Cups
- Counting Cards
- Cylinder Blocks
- Shape Puzzles
- Poppy’s Surprise board book
- Beyond the Crate Cards
- Wonder Magazine
All of these came in a big box, with every item wrapped and packaged carefully. It came with an insert guide that told you what was in your crate.
Paints are non-toxic, and the wood is solid beechwood, all very nicely made! Even the counting flashcards come in a nice box and of high-quality.
This baby subscription box definitely impressed with the high-quality items in it.
As I let my 19-month old toddler daughter start exploring her new toys and puzzles and books, she really seemed to enjoy them! She was easily occupied by these items for 20-30 minutes upon opening, which is fantastic.
I will say, however, that I think it was a bit mature for the intended age group of 13-18 months.
My daughter, who’s very bright and a month older than that age range even, is not going to be using those flashcards anytime soon, nor accurately stacking those cups, or completing those simple puzzles.
I know it’s good to stretch your child’s learning abilities, but this is a real stretch.
Her favorite items are the book and the stacking cups, as babies this age love to “drink” and pour and tip, and dip, so cups are awesome for all of those things.
I did appreciate that the Panda Crate came with tons of ideas on how to use these items, and even household other items, like Cheerios, to practice basic math learning skills.
I feel like these would be perfect for those first-time parents who have more time to explore such concepts (sorry fifth child!).
Overall, super impressed, and totally worth the cost, even if above ability level. You can just hold onto them until the early preschool years. But, the value is above the cost of the crates.Order a Panda Crate for your little one here.

Panda Crate Promo Code
Unfortunately, there isn’t an on-going Panda Crate Promo Code, and they are not always included in sales KiwiCo runs.
I am not sure if this is because it’s an every other month subscription, unlike their other boxes, or because it is new, or what.Right now you can get up 60% on your first month of KiwiCo with code EARLY.
I hope you’ll give it a try all the same! Subscribe HERE.
