Over the last few weeks Josh and I have had some wonderful adventures. Let’s begin:
First, let me let you all know how serious we are about our last post. I made bread on Sunday for the very first time, all by myself. I accidentally added a cup of sugar, instead of the 2 tbsp… Oops. But, the “French Bread” just turned into to sweet bread, so it wasn’t too bad. Josh was sweet and ate it.
Plus on Wednesday I made an entree for our Enrichment Progressive Dinner. I made an old Warren Favorite, Chicken ala King, and it turned out really well! And we’ve been doing really well with our workout goals, going to the gym a few times a week.
Several weeks ago we had a really fun ward camp-out! We finally got to use our tent that we got for our wedding. What an awesome tent! Thanks so much Tyler and Andrea! We love it and want to go camping one more time this summer. Also, I found out that Josh is really good at kickball and that he loves it! He scored every time he was up to kick.
This week I finally got a French horn, but I had to rent one because my friends that had them couldn’t lend them to me right now. Marching band is coming up in three weeks!! I’m starting to get really excited. Playing the French horn again made me feel so happy! I love playing the French horn. The next day at work I played basketball with my co-workers for like 40 minutes and that also made me really happy. I love sports, and really love basketball.
My 21st Birthday was last week! Josh got me a UVU sweatshirt, a really nice bathrobe, and flowers. He also took me out to dinner at Carrabba’s and then to see Harry Potter again. Oh, and super cool, I got to see my dad on my birthday! He even joined Josh, and my co-workers and I for a work lunch party for me! Josh and my dad brought a bunch of “appearance of evil” drinks, like Martinelli’s, IBC root beers, Yoo-hoo’s, and Pepsi in tall thin cans.
We never blogged about Josh’s Birthday which was in the beginning of June, so here’s some belated pictures of his party in the canyon.
Josh and I went to a driving range for the first time! We are both AWFUL at golf. It seriously took me 15 swings to hit my first ball, no exaggeration. It was ridiculous, but we both got better, -ish. We had fun; that’s the important thing.
At work I have been getting into doing the Daily Universe’s crossword puzzles and sudoku. I am not very good at either, but I did complete my very first crossword puzzle and sudoku! I have improved a lot, going from like 3-4 hours to do an easy Sudoku to like 30 minutes. I even try to do the moderates and the hards. Sometimes I get help from others, and I especially get help for the crossword puzzles from the husband, ’cause he’s smart and has a computer at his work.
We have had other adventures too, like swimming, a baby shower, the temple, a neighborhood BBQ, wasp swarms, movies, pirate games with my old roommate and her husband, friend’s softball games, and playing in my very first softball game. Oh, and in the mail this week we received a bunch of complimentary coupons from Smith’s! It made me so happy! I love coupons. They have saved us a LOT of money over the last few months.
