With twin daughters, wanting to be pink, frilly, and a princess, is a very real thing around my house. While I’m not one to encourage such things, I’m not really trying to discourage it either. I say, let them love pink, feminine things! My daughters pretty much wear skirts every single day, and love dresses (although one really does love her sweat pants and sweat shirts too!). However, to celebrate the release of the Sleeping Beauty DVD from the Walt Disney Vault, they will definitely be dressing up in their princess costumes to go to the Retailtainment event at our local Walmart!
On Saturday, October 11, 2014, from 10am-4pm Walmart stores across America will be hosting a Disney Princess Event! At this event, you and your child(ren) can color Disney Princess coloring and activity sheets, take a photo with a cardboard Sleeping Beauty, and sample Disney Princess cupcakes (my favorite part – free food!). They’ll also have Disney Princess character balloons available for purchase. I will be taking my Princess costume-clad four year old daughters to it. It’ll be a fun little outing! I encourage you to do it too!
Plus, there’s a special coupon that will be available to those who attend the events: you can save $3 with any $10 purchase of Disney-themed Party Goods supplies (at participating Walmart stores). The coupon will be at the stores hosting the special Disney Princess Event.
Be sure to follow me on Instagram where I’ll be sharing my #DisneyBeauties in-store at the event on October 11!
I’m excited to pick up a copy of Sleeping Beauty because I haven’t seen it in ages and my daughters have only seen it once, at their grandparents house. It’s funny though, because they actually have a Sleeping Beauty Barbie doll, and have seen previews for the movie at the beginning of other Disney movies they have, and love the changing of the colors and have even role-played it before. I think they will definitely love the Sleeping Beauty DVD.
Do you like Sleeping Beauty? Do your kids? When was the last time you watched it? Are you excited for Walt Disney to release Sleeping Beauty out of the vault?
Oh, and stay tuned for an awesome post on How to be a Princess.
