Lately Josh and I have seemed to have some pretty full weeks. In fact we’ve had a pretty full month! And I think it’s been pretty great! Mostly because it’s not just busy for busy sake…. there’s also been opportunities for us to serve.
In the last two weeks we’ve watched two different sets of kids. We’ve made a meal for a woman on bedrest. We invited the missionaries over and fed them dinner, and Josh went out with them tonight. We’ve made chili for the Ward Chili Cook-off. We took IQ tests for our friend who is getting his masters/doctorate in Psychology. Josh and I both taught lessons this past Sunday – I taught Sunday School; Josh taught Elder’s Quorum. We had some friends over who have cute one-year old twins and fed them dinner.
And in addition to those awesome things we also went shopping for some new jeans for me on President’s Day (because I desperately needed some new ones). We went out on a date for Valentine’s Day to an arcade and the Cheesecake Factory. We visited Josh’s parents for a full day on a Saturday. My dad stopped in for a few hours. We paid off a ton of debt with our tax returns. We also got new furniture (I promise pictures are coming!) and got rid of some old furniture I also recently got a gym membership and have worked out for two days in a row now (I’m pretty sure that’s a new record!). I have actually been cooking much more lately! I also have gone to two book clubs this month, and currently have a new book I’m starting. Oh,yeah, and I’ve been trying to potty train Lisa for a few weeks now…
Like I said: we’ve been busy.
But, it’s been so. much. fun! I hope it keeps being busy and interesting! Tomorrow is Leap Year Day and I have some fun planned for our family, but it’s secret exactly what until after tomorrow!
