Josh only had to go to classes on Monday of this week, so we decided to travel, plus with the cost of gas being the lowest in probably two years at about $3.11 a gallon, we figured it was the perfect time to take some roadtrips!
First we went to Dayton, Ohio to visit my brother Tyler and his family. Unfortunately we didn’t really get to see Tyler much during our stay because he was swamped writing speeches for the Air Force General at work. He even worked half a day on the 4th of July. So, we didn’t do a whole bunch of stuff, but I got to work on the puzzle our family had worked on at Thanksgiving (and I love puzzles, remember?), but we also watched some movies, played outside, went to a church picnic on the 4th where it was sweltering hot, and went to a water park too. We also went out to eat one night. The best part was definitely having our girls play with their cousins. They are finally at the age where they can really play and interact with other kids, so it was great seeing them play with their cousin that is closest in age to them (5 months older). They’re like triplets together. Also, the baby is getting so big!
After we returned from our trip to Ohio, we then slept at home for a night and then headed to southeastern Indiana to visit Josh’s parents. We stayed the night. The girls had a blast playing with their grandparents toys, chasing after Duncan, their cat, and playing outside in the sprinklers and blowing bubbles.
We had a great week, though our girls ended up with “the runs” by the end of our trips and haven’t been feeling 100%. We’re hoping they will be back up to speed very soon.
Thanks Tyler and family for having us over and thanks Josh’s parents for having us over too! We really appreciate it and the girls loved it!
