Today is the first day Josh has gone back to work since his accident on November 8th which broke his sternum and totaled our car. While we’re so excited that he is doing so much better physically and emotionally, we’re also sad that all of days won’t be spent together anymore.
It has been so nice having Josh around the last two months, even if the first month home he was pretty out of it, as seen here:
These past few weeks have been so much nicer and we’ve been able to get out more and more as he’s started to feel better. I love my husband and love spending every second of every day with him and so look forward to retirement so we can do that! Or, just the summer, since he’s a teacher! Perks of being married to a teacher!
We forget to mention that when Josh stayed overnight at the hospital the day of his accident it was the first night we have ever spent apart since we got married 3 years ago! Josh and I like to do everything together. We’re each others’ best friends. I am so grateful for seat belts, air bags, doctors, and medicine that kept Josh alive and then made him better, because I don’t know what I would’ve done without him.
Josh said today for school he’s going to assess where they are all at in their mathematical learning since his absence, as well as lecture them about the important of NOT texting while driving or even in the driver seat of a car. Seriously everyone. Don’t do it. It was what caused his accident (the other driver was, not Josh).
May our lives get back to normal and keep looking up!
