We have had some fun Halloween activities! First we ordered some super cute animal costumes for the girls:
It was a beautiful day and the place was packed. The zoo was decorated for Halloween and they even handed out some candy, but only like 10 pieces a child, definitely not a hull here, but the girls loved sharing it with their grandparents who haven’t been to a zoo in a long time.
Of course the zoo was awesome as always, and we got to see zebras and tigers, just like our girls were for Halloween! The tiger exhibit is awesome because the tiger is literally just inches away! Plus, the tiger put on a show and even jumped in the water! I love it when the animals actually move when we go to the zoo.
The grandparents brought two of Josh’s old kids books up with them and then Grandpa bought the girls two stuffed animals, a tiger and a panda, which are super soft and the girls absolutely love! They’ve been sleeping with them every night since. It is so nice to have a set of grandparents so close to our family! Thanks for coming up!
I carved our one and only pumpkin this year… Did you know Josh is seriously disgusted by pumpkin guts? Cause he is. For proof look at this old post. So, Josh bought the pumpkin, the girls and I gutted it, and I then carved it. Josh requested that I carve Darth Vader, but I didn’t know finding a free template on-line was pretty much impossible for Darth Vader, so I did a witch in the moon from a template I found for free on-line.
It came out pretty well I think. Maybe next year we’ll actually get the girls a pumpkin to decorate/carve.
Josh and I also took the girls to our church’s Halloween party. Josh and I dressed up too! We threw together some last minute outfits. I was a Pioneer school teacher or something, and Josh was a baseball coach… not super original. We just used what we had.
Lisa wanted to switch up her costume and for a long while was a Zegra or a Ziger.
Fortunately there was trick-or-treating at the church Halloween party because our girls now have a serious cold and we were not able to go trick-or-treating on Monday! Like a ghost says… “Boo!” because now our girls are Boogey Monsters!
