This Halloween provided Josh and I another first. This wasn’t our first Halloween together (actually our second). But it was the first year that we carved pumpkins together. This turned out to be rather funny as Josh found cleaning the pumpkin really gross, and made me clean out his pumpkin for him. He helped some by using a really big, long handled spoon. Here’s pictures to prove his disgust:
And the end products! Guess who did which one.
For Halloween parties this year we went to our Married Student Ward party on Thursday night. That was pretty fun with activities like Skittles Spitting (I SUCK at spitting by the way. So embarrassing.), Limbo, guess how many candies in the jar (Josh was 1 off!), a Cake Walk, or should I say Cookie Walk, and live music from Trevor Paulsen and his band. Here’s our picture from it:
I think it’s pretty obvious what we are… But in case you don’t get it, we were H1N1, you know… Swine Flu! We even had hand sanitizer in our pockets. Can’t ever be too careful ya know? Like my pigtails?
We wore this same costume on Friday to my marching band Halloween Party. We ate some Costco pizza (not very good) and watched some section skits. The Horns didn’t do a skit because we didn’t have one prepared and there was a total of four of us there. We also did a costume judging contest and “Ron, Hermoine, and House Elf” won. Their House Elf was their cute little doggy all dressed up.
Also Friday night we hung out with the Quasts, one of our new neighbors. They were a bunch of fun! They played our Wii and chatted with us. So nice! And Saturday night we watched Trouble With Harry at the Dewey’s. Funny movie. So random. Thanks Quasts and Dewey’s for being our friends.
