All three ladies in this house went and got our hairs cut! As summer is now upon us, or so it seems with the crazily beautiful 80 degree weather, short hair is the way to go. I chopped mine and had the girls do the same. I chopped mine for three reasons – summer, a baby that pulls hair, and the inevitable postpartum hair loss: shorter hair won’t clog up the shower drain as quickly.
I’m not totally in love with the cut; it seems a little too blunt. But, I don’t really care. It’s just hair. I’m thinking about dying it blonder for the summer though… as well as thinking about going super short… We’ll see if I end up doing either. Thoughts?
We took the girls to a hair salon just for kids called “Cookie Cutters” though it was grossly overpriced, but it was their first time getting it cut at a salon, and by someone who has actually been taught how to cut hair, unlike their Mom, although I do question if i could’ve done just as good of a job (I was not impressed).
I had really been wanting them to get their hair cut for weeks. It was just getting scraggly, long, uneven (from my previous hair cut), and was in their way. I especially wanted Alison to get her long tresses cut. But, the girls didn’t want to for several weeks. In fact, Alison didn’t want to get her hair cut until after her sister got hers, but mostly because she wanted to sit in a car and watch TV. Lisa only wanted to get her hair cut because Mom got her cut. Sometimes you just got to see someone else take the plunge first to get on board.
Anyways, enough, here’s picture!
