Today I share one woman’s perspective on what she considers to be the best job ever – nanning! I asked her to share what she has learned about her years working with other people’s children in everyday, very close and personal situations.
I find nannies fascinating as they choose to be a “second parent” to young kids for their employment. Though I chose to have kids, they are mine, so of course I love being with them everyday, but I don’t know if I could say I would love being with other people’s children every. single. day. So I hope you enjoy one ex-nanny’s perspective on her experiences!
What Being a Nanny Has Taught Me
Patience
Family dynamics
Love
Always stay creative
We may not be Mary Poppins and be able to fly with umbrellas, but we are pretty darn close. With many years of working with different children and different families, you learn to be imaginative and creative like a child. No craft, project, task, game, playground poses a threat.
