The first day of summer is Wednesday, June 21, but the end of school comes even sooner, meaning summer break starts very soon!
We have a trip planned in a couple weeks to attend my niece’s wedding and then go on to visit my in-laws and then come back home, driving each leg of the trip, for a combined distance of 2700 miles. In a car with four children. In less than a week’s time.
Yeah, we’re probably nuts. It’s okay to think that with us.
Hate cleaning but love a clean house? Pick up this printable Spring Cleaning Bundle and you'll be able to clean it all without feeling overwhelmed!
I do know we’ll listen to several audio books (Harry Potter among them), have the kids watch movies on our portable DVD players, and pack lots of snacks, drinks, toys, games, and books to keep everyone entertained, and hopefully happy.
(If you’re taking a trip soon, you can try Audible and get two free audiobooks!)
And before we leave we will be going over our Before You Leave on Vacation Checklist so when we come home the house will be in order, clean, and hopefully intact, allowing us to relax and not feel stressed.
This checklist is just one of several fun summer printables that you can get for free by subscribing to our lists to help you prepare for and enjoy your summer! Hey, Katelynn! Thanks for that vacation check-list. It’s great to have reminders. Speaking of which, I wanted to remind everyone that their local libraries do a free Summer Reading Program, with activities, prizes, and more…all you have to do is attend and sign-up. Every program is different, but in general these programs takes the stress off trying to run your own program or think of activities everyday in the summer. Enjoy your trip!

Yes! Libraries are amazing! I have our libraries event calendar already and will sign the kids up for the summer reading program too.
