On Saturday I tested my strength and endurance as I joined Joshua on his exercise extravaganza. I haven’t been tested for about two months, so this was quite the workout. I went to the RB, ran about a mile to warm-up, did five sets of RB stairs (which is about a hundred steps one-way), and in between sets I did ten push-ups and 10 crunches. (The crunches were by far the easiest thing for me.) Then I did three more laps on the short track, then was joined by Josh for some high knees, butt-kickers, karaoke-steps, defensive shuffles, and the worst of all- LUNGES. Yes, dreaded lunges. Four times. We did them all again, and then we did short sprints, and I am not much of a sprinter and after those lunges my legs were screamin’. So they were rough. But, that’s not all. We did several sets of wall-sits, dips, and planks. Yikes. But, then we were done and I felt good actually. I knew I was going to be sore, though.
After a shower, some food, and little movie watching (we watched Fireproof, which I really liked. It made me cry, which is saying something for me to cry during a movie that much.) we went out and took some photos for my photography class. And I got bite by bugs by the lake and they gave me HUGE red bumps on my legs. It was crazy. I couldn’t believe there were bugs biting in March.
Then that evening we spent some time with our friends Tanya and Mark. Tanya had just broken up with her boyfriend, so we went out to eat at Chili’s (our group favorite it seems). We heard Tanya out and completely support her. Blah to dumb boys who don’t really know what they feel and what they want. Tanya will find someone amazing, cause she’s amazing afterall. So upon Tanya’s request we then went bowling. Joshua tore up the first game with 141. The second game I ripped it up with my highest score ever of 175! Woo-hoo! Josh threw a 12lb 22.5 mph!
Yeah, he didn’t care about the second game, he was just having fun, but still managed to break 100. Tanya and I rolled up our jeans to show off our matching socks (which we had to buy so we could go bowling! Yeah for clearance holiday socks).
On Sunday we had a baby! I mean we babysat, for the Linde’s downstairs. We love cute little Ally. She wasn’t as happy to see us, but we mesmerized her with classical music and iTunes visualizer. She then feel asleep in Josh’s arms. Josh will be such a great dad someday!
