Alison is such a climber, and I’m not very surprised. She was the first to climb stairs, and is always on the go-go-go! One day I saw her putting forth a good effort:
And by the next day she was like this:
After I snapped a few photos, I had to help her get down because she was scared! She was shaking! Silly girl!
Recently our baby gate hasn’t been working, so we’ve been using chairs as blockades, though I have to make sure to place them backwards because Alison can climb on top of them. However, yesterday I was letting the girls play in the kitchen, something we don’t really do, but I was there with them, so I didn’t bother with the chairs. So, I decided to wipe up the strawberry juices from dinner the previous night off the dining room floor, and when I went to rinse off the rag in the kitchen I saw Alison, but not Lisa! I looked at the stairs but didn’t see her and checked in the living room, but she wasn’t there either. I then ran up the stairs to find Miss Lisa standing in our bedroom. That girl climbs those stairs fast!
We’re hoping to get a new baby gate and other baby proofing things this weekend, even though Josh has to work a regular school day (though slightly shorter) on Saturday to make up for the ice storm snow days. BOO!
