Meet the Fagans

Hey there! What’s up? I’m Katelyn Fagan.

Welcome to my website!

Here on What’s up Fagans? we strive to be the go-to resource on all things home and family.

Our posts are informative, honest, thorough and helpful on topics such as marriage, pregnancy, motherhood, raising kids, and deep cleaning and organizing the house.

We want to help you manage your own home and family life with all the tools and information you need to be successful, the first time. That means we share what worked for us and what totally didn’t work for us.

We do some research, poll other parents, and share the best of the best tips and advice with you so you can best decide how to move forward in your own home and family.

If you would like to work with me, please visit my Work With Me page for more details.

If you’re social, I’d love for you to sign up for our newsletter and/or follow me on Facebook | Twitter | Pinterest | Instagram. Or drop me an email at [email protected]

What’s up Fagans? began back in 2009, a few months after my husband Joshua and I were married as a way to share our life with friends and family out-of-state.

In 2013 I officially turned it into a business and began creating content people un-related to me would find useful and interesting. It has proven to be the means whereby our family escaped poverty and paid off debts all while my husband pursued advanced degrees.

If you would like more information about starting your own blog business, check out my FREE Blog Business Planning Guide.

About Katelyn Fagan

I am a 31-year-old wife, Christian (Latter-day Saint), work from home blogger, homemaker, and homeschooler of five young kids. And we’re expecting our second set of twins September 2020!

I love going on adventures and trying new things, always looking to have some fun, which is pretty easy because I enjoy doing just about anything.

I attend a monthly book club in the hopes that I’ll actually read more books. I like to run or bike and lift weights but am so very far from being a fitness guru. I just like feeling healthier. And it helps balance my love of sweets and desserts.

My amazing husband of 11 years is a college math professor! We worked hard to get him through 7 years of graduate and doctorate school so he could do this! He’s also a great cook, singer, organizer, husband, father, spiritual leader, and service-giver. He’s a man of many talents and interests.

We are pretty simple people, who still rent, still have massive student loan debt we’re paying off, and generally like to live minimalistic.

We are also pretty silly, don’t take ourselves very seriously, and like to have a lot of fun.

We are passionate about marriage, family, Christ, and improving ourselves.

We totally make goals.

And my goal for What’s up Fagans? is to always provide you with valuable information.

Whether or not you’ll agree with me in all of my posts, I hope you’ll always appreciate my humble, down-to-earth, non-judgmental, goofy, all too practical, frugal, LDS-self, who has a hard time holding grudges, and smiles a huge toothy smile very easily.

May God bless you and your family on your journey in life.

You’ll find that I approach parenting with a sense of humor and honesty. Because while I’m trying to raise awesome kids with boundaries, responsibility, work ethics, and religion, I don’t really know what I am doing. Like you, I just try my best.
