This weekend was busy in the Fagan home. Josh and I had the great privilege of going out on a real date! Our first one in over a year! We set up a date swap (though when we’ll be watching their kids is still TBD) with our new friends the Chatterton’s. We dropped the girls off around 4pm and then headed up to Keystone area for a dinner at a fancy Italian restaurant called Amalfi Ristorante Italiano. Josh’s parents had given us a gift card to this restaurant at Christmas and we decided we should finally use it. I had also purchased discounted movie tickets (We got $19.50 for 2 tickets through fandango.com for $9) this summer from livingsocial.com, a daily deals website, and the tickets were expiring, so we finally went to see Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2. We really enjoyed the movie, even if we missed the first 15 minutes. Josh said it’s his favorite one.
We then went to pick up our girls, but since they were asleep, we ended up chatting with the Chatterton’s. I guess you could say they live up to their name because we were there until after midnight!
The next morning I left the girls with Josh for the day so that I could go to the Penrod Arts Fair at the Indianapolis Museum of Art with Josh’s mom Susan, her friend Nancy, and Nancy’s daughter Leslie. We had a great time. If you want more details, view my art blog post on it.
On Sunday we went to church, napped, and then went to the Chatterton’s for dinner. We had them over for dinner a few weeks ago, so this was the reciprocal invite. We played outside a little bit and had good conversation, but bedtime approached so we had to go home.
We have been having a great time in our new ward and area of Indianapolis. We pretty much love everything about it! We love our apartment, the friends we are making (and it helps there are more people our age/situation in our new ward), and the location. We are so glad we moved! Life is going great for the Fagans!
