We threw a hot dog party one year. It was so much fun for kids and adults! We grilled hot dogs, cut up watermelon, and had little finger foods on the side. We also had a hot dog bar where we had every sort of topping possible, including mac’n’cheese dog, peach salsa dog, etc. I got the “recipes” from Real Simple. It was fun and we found new ways to eat hot dogs! 🙂

Great tips Lisa! We didn’t do birthday parties when they turned one, and I’m hoping to hold off on two… maybe when they’re seven!

I am over from the HDYDI link party – such great advice both my kids had complicated 2 year old birthday parties but just in theme – we always ended up with 10 people or so and partied over the whole day not just for 2 hours. Helps to spread it out!
