Lisa and Alison had their 18 Month well-child visit with the doctor today. And here are their stats:
23lbs 4oz (58%)
32 3/4″ tall (75%)
18″ head circumference (25%)
24lbs 6oz (72%)
33″ tall (75-90%)
17 3/4″ head circumference (10%)
Our girls have shot up in weight percentiles, especially skinny Miss Alison, over the last 3 months, and continue to be fairly tall, and have small heads. They are pretty much ahead with all things physical but have some catching up to do when it comes to speech. Alison says at least 5 words, her best one being “Hi” and Lisa can say probably more than 10… If you were to count syllables or endings to words then the total would be higher, but I think I am the only one that can really match the sound to the object, so I better not count them yet.
The girls generally eat pretty well. I just try to give them a good variety of healthy foods and let them be, taking them down when the sign “all done” or start purposely throwing food on the floor, which I then make them pick up. Alison seems to be constantly hungry and scrounging for food. Lisa loves drinking milk in the evenings, gulping it down!
I’m hoping Alison will be done teething soon (she got her top canines in over a week ago and is working on the bottom two now) and will have more solid poops again soon. Doctor said nothing abnormal about this apparently (whew!).
The girls are so sweet with each other (generally). They will give each other hugs, kisses, and even pats and rubs on the back when the other one is crying! Alison will sign “sorry” on my chest after a time-out and even say sorry to Lisa and then give her a hug! These girls know empathy! It’s so sweet! They love playing together. Having twins is really nice in this regard!
