Ultimate Indianapolis Giveaway

We no longer live in the Crossroads of America, Indianapolis, IN, the place we've called home for four years! And we miss it! Indianapolis is the best city! It was our daughter's first real home, their first real memories.  It was where my husband worked his first post-college job as a high school teacher. It was where he went on to earn a Master's degree and where our son was born.  It was also where we struggled through difficult accidents and misfortune. We have come to love this city and its people. It has a fabulous downtown, world-class museums, great parks, and a wonderful library system. It's fun to drive throughout the ...

Green Bean Delivery to your door

*I received a free small fruits and vegetable bin from Green Bean Delivery for the purpose of this review. Opinions are my own.* Everybody has that adult responsibility that they hate doing, whether it's folding the laundry, doing the dishes, paying bills, or taking out the trash. The one thing I hate doing is grocery shopping. Seriously. Even though my kids are (generally) fairly well-behaved, I just hate getting everyone in the car, finding everything I need, and then forking over $80+ (with coupons), to realize upon getting home that I still have nothing to eat, and I still don't want to cook (my other least favorite adult ...

Check out the 11th Annual Indiana Art Fair at the Indiana State Museum on Valentine's Day for a Preview Night! #INArtFair

In exchange for writing this post, I will receive two complimentary tickets to the Preview Night. All opinions are 100% my own. I majored in Visual Arts: Studio Arts at Brigham Young University. I took several art history classes, art education classes, and studio art classes that had me using all sorts of new mediums. I am a fine artist drawer, with charcoal and graphite as my mediums of choice. I do however enjoy working in oil paints as well, though I am not as strong or confident in it. But, one thing is for sure, I enjoy looking at all types of art! That's why I am excited about the Indiana State Museum's upcoming 11th Annual ...

Christmas at the Zoo - An Indianapoils Zoo Holiday Tradition! Enjoy Christmas lights, sounds, shows, and more. whatsupfagans.com #ISMMCATZ

Last week we went to the Indianapolis Zoo for the first time in over a year and a half and it was so great to be back!  Thanks to Indy Social Media Moms and the Indianapolis Zoo, we were able to attend Christmas at the Zoo for free for purposes of this review. Opinions are 100% of my own however. Christmas at the Zoo is a fun way to enjoy those dark, cold December nights! I know as a mom it is so hard in the winter to want to do anything after 5pm when the sun and the temperature start to drop, especially since many kid-friendly places are closed after 5pm. I know my kids want to get outside in the winter, but they don't always ...

Santa Smiling at Celebration Crossing #ISMCelebration

I love living in a big city; there's always something to do! And that is especially true around the Holidays!  Last year for our family's 25 Days of Christmas Advent calendar, I included lots of local events and activities for us to do.  One of those was "Trumble the Train Saves the Day," a short Holiday play for kids, at the Indiana State Museum. It was the first time (and only time) we've been inside the Indiana State Museum.  And I know I definitely wanted to check our more of it, especially as they have so many fun Christmas activities going on each winter.  This year we're going to check out more of the Indiana State Museum's ...

Kids getting ready to go trick or treating

Sorry I didn't put one up last week! The previous two weeks I had so many other posts going up, I just didn't have the time or energy to put together a What's up Fagans? Friday post. But, here it is for this week! 1. My son is pulling up on everything! It's his very favorite thing to do.  He can pull up on the ottoman, his walker, boxes, stools, chairs, crib, TV stand, and more. He wants to be standing up! He can climb up a stair or two. He's a full on crawler and  is getting faster and faster. Oh, and he's still only 7 months old! 2. Michael has been pretty sick lately however. We've missed two Sundays of church in a row due to ...

Baby Sitting Up

1. On Saturday, Josh and a few other people biked from our bishop's house up to the Indianapolis temple grounds.  It was a 30 mile ride that took about 2.5 hours.  And it was the perfect weather for the trip.  I'm still a tad angry with myself that I forgot to bring the camera!! If I can snag a picture from someone I'll come back and post it. After the ride, we went to a nearby park with another family and ate a quick lunch. 2. I love it when my Sunday school lessons go well.  I teach the 6 year olds, and no matter how many are in there, it can be a bit crazy.  But, despite the normal craziness, we went on a great tangent all ...

Children's Museum Haunted House Time Warp - 50 Years of Fear in Indianapolis

*Disclosure* - I toured the new Haunted House exhibit with my children for free and was given four complimentary tickets from the Children's Museum of Indianapolis.  All opinions are my own and this post and giveaway were not required by the Museum. I haven't been to a haunted house in quiet a few years.  But, I loved going to Haunted Houses as a teenager.  I went with my older siblings and their friends, my friends, and college roommates.  I even went to one with my husband shortly before we were married.  I enjoy being scared, and enjoy scary movies and books, sometimes.  That's why I think it's awesome that the Children's ...

6 Months Old Trying to sit up

I apologize for missing last week.  But, it happens.  I was super busy last week at hdydi.com coordinating all the posts for our "How to Afford Twins" theme week.  It was a ton of work, but I loved it!  Plus, we're hosting a giveaway (and I'm co-hosting it, since I put up the $5 Amazon gift card).  You should totally enter it.  I still have more I would love to share with people about saving money and cutting costs and all of it.  Having lived frugally pretty much all my life, it's something I know quite a bit about.  Which, bring me to my #1 point.... 1. I was asked to share my couponing knowledge for our Relief Society meeting ...
