This is so funny! I love these honest parenting stories about diaper blowouts and diapering mistakes! Will try to remember these!

This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone. #CVSHuggiesHeroes #CollectiveBias If you are a parent, then you know about diapering. Whether you use cloth or disposable, you are generally no stranger to diaper mishaps, learning curves, trial and error, and lots of time spent changing diapers! I have been diapering at least one child for the past five years, and for several years had two in diapers at the same time (twins). And I assure you I had a steep learning curve and dealt with some disgusting situations over the years. Thankfully, I'm going to share with you some of ...

Are Little Boys Really That Different From Little Girls?

This post likely contains affiliate links which may earn me commissions should you click through them and take certain actions.

Besides the obvious differences, little boys are often touted as being harder to raise. But, are little boys really worse than little girls?

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Huggies® for IZEA. All opinions are 100% mine. My son just turned two years old two weeks ago! In his two years of life, he hasn't been all that different in temperament or disposition from his twin older sisters. Certainly his personality is different than both of theirs, or more of a mix of the two, kind of like his looks fall somewhere in between his fraternal twin sisters' very different appearances, too. But, one thing is for sure: he's adorable and I love him like crazy. Having a single child has been so different from having twins. I instantly fell in love with my ...

This post likely contains affiliate links which may earn me commissions should you click through them and take certain actions.

Great advice! So glad I found this. This gives me some new ideas for how to stop my child taking off their diaper all the time!

As our children grow, we are often amazed at all the new and amazing things they do – the first babble, the first smile, the first roll, the first laugh, the first crawl, the first steps. Even funny things, like the first time your child farts or burps are awesome! But, somethings get old real quick, like your baby taking off diapers, and smearing poop all over their crib and bedroom. Once is quite enough of this first! But, lucky me, had twins who both took of their diapers, and now my son is doing it too! Consider the following advice from someone who is a pro at knowing how to prevent a baby from taking their diaper ...

I love these time saving tips from a mom of three young kids, including twins! Such a #SmartMom and #SuperMom! @Huggies @DiapersDotCom #Offer #sp

Many thanks to Huggies and Linqia for sponsoring today's post and encouraging me to share my time saving tips! All opinions are my own. I have three kids, two of whom are twins. That right there is often enough to qualify me as a "Super Mom" in many people's books. I don't generally see myself as extra special, super-d-duper, or super smart (more kids just insure I have 'Mommy Brain') but I do happen to know a thing or two about parenting, and certainly about managing my time more efficiently with three young kiddos. So, today I'm sharing my top time saving tips I believe every first time mom should know! 5 Ways ...

Diapers are expensive, so it's awesome to know how I can score cheap diapers at Target! #MC #MovingMoments #sponsored

I participated in an Influencer Program on behalf of Mom Central for Huggies. I received a product sample to facilitate my review and a promotional item to thank me for participating. Time goes by way too fast. I cannot believe my baby boy is 14 months old now and very officially a toddler!  And he certainly toddles around everywhere and he especially likes to climb. He's already mastered climbing up the stairs and sliding back down. He can already climb onto the couch unassisted. He can climb on top of other chairs too. Michael is adventurous and anytime he sees an open door he runs out it! He loves playing and moving and going ...

Kids are messy, but the dirtier the clothes the bigger the memories! How to keep the memory, but lose the stains.| whatsupfagans.com | #WhiteCloud #ad

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of White Cloud for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine. I love my children. And I love letting them explore and grow on their own. But, I don't always love the mess that comes with raising children. I mean seriously, kids are messy! They are messy when they eat meals, messy when they are potty-training, messy when they play at the park, messy when they paint and do crafts. Some Kid-Tastic Messy Moments: My children love coloring and doing art, just like their artist Mom, but there have been far too many times when crayons have been used to draw on objects that aren't intended ...

My friends Doreen, Hillary, and Diane worked together to throw me a baby shower!  It was on February 9, one month before my due date! We had some delicious food thanks to Doreen and Kroger.  It was totally "man-food" for my "man-child."  Ha.  Nothing like a bunch of ladies eating wings, cheese, crackers, meat and veggies! We also played some classic baby shower games - guess the "poop" (melted candy bars) in the diaper:Draw a picture of my baby.... with your toes.  There were definitely some interesting ideas:and we also played a game where we had to try to match up names with their correct meanings. And of course there was the ...

Reuse Diaper Boxes to Make Cute Toy Bins

This post likely contains affiliate links which may earn me commissions should you click through them and take certain actions.

What a fun easy craft to reuse empty diaper boxes! It's such a cute toy bin!

We get big boxes of diapers each month, and I often ended up putting my kids toys in them, but what an ugly sight! So I decided to officially reuse diaper boxes as cute toy bins. In order to do that, I covered the diaper box with a paperback storybook my kids had received for free from a Cheerios box and had already started ripping some of it apart. I took the diaper box and cut off the top flaps and then got to work. I used a 50/50 Elmer's glue and water mixture as my "modge podge" mixture because it's cheap ($1 or less for a bottle of glue) but I'm sure modge podge would work better.  I just didn't have any on hand. 50/50 ...

Parenting Twins is Hard

Parenting Twins is Hard! There's the logistics, the feedings, the sleep schedules, the cost, and the stress... but it just might be worth it. whatsupfagans.com

Everyone told me that parenting twins is hard when I found out I was having twins half-way through my first pregnancy.  And I knew they were probably telling the truth.  But, as a new mother, I didn't have anything to compare having twins to - I have never had a single baby.  I guess for a long time you're really just in survival mode.  You just do what has to be done and forget about everything else.  As a new mom to twins, you only occasionally get a glimpse of what it could be like to have one, when one is awake during nap time, and the other is sleeping, for example.  And often in those moments I have thought, "Gee, one must be ...

Early into our parenting Josh and I wrote a blog post about the various kinds of diapers and our opinions on them.  We are, of course, on a tight budget, but know that with diapers you always want to get ones that will hold in the mess!  We found that Luvs diapers, while still name-brand, were cheaper than Huggies or Pampers, even after coupons, and offered a better value and fit than most store-brands.  If all diapers were the same price, we'd probably choose Pampers.Luvs diapers however, has also proved to have pretty good customer service.  After we got an entire box of diapers that had faulty tabs on about 1/3 of them (they ...

How our family of four lives off a teacher’s salary

This post likely contains affiliate links which may earn me commissions should you click through them and take certain actions.

Our family of four is living off a second-year teacher's salary (and not a high paying one),  so we've had to figure out ways to save money, cut costs, and figure out how to pay for things. Despite having to use a credit card all too often, we've come up with a list of things we have done to live in today's economy that doesn't involve plastic.Paying Tithing FIRST The most important thing we do with any money we earn is pay a 10% tithe to our church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  Even when it seems we won't have money to pay our credit card or electric bills, we still pay our tithing FIRST.  When we do, the Lord ...

Diaper Review

So, this will be a boring post to most people probably, but I would like to take a minute and talk about diapers. Josh and I were given a lot of diapers at baby showers, and Josh hoarded up on diapers before the girls arrived. We have tried almost all diaper brands and off brands to find what works best for our mobile skinny girls. *My affiliate links are used in this post.* Huggies Snug and Dry Diapers: Pros: Cheaper, coupons widely available, rewards program Cons: Leaks, bulky, wrong fit on my girls Pampers Swaddlers Diapers: Pros: Thin, soft, smell good, great fit, Dry Max, rewards program Cons: More expensive and ...
