When we moved into our apartment the bathtub was a not very clean bathtub, and proved difficult to get sparkling. I am gonna assume one of the previous tenants had a bathmat they used, which had lots of little circle disks underneath it, which has damaged the tub and left light little circles that prove hard to get pearly white again.dirty bathtub needs cleanedThe joys of apartment living.

My husband has used various products, as have I, hoping we’ll get a sparkling clean bathtub yet.

My latest product to wage war against the grime bathtub was a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser.Mr clean magic erasers bathroomI have used Magic Erasers around my home, mainly for removing crayon, pen, pencil, and dirt marks from my walls, door frames, and doors. I honestly haven’t used them for much else around my house.

Until now.

I hate cleaning the bathrooms, especially the bathtub. I hate how you need to practically get into it, or learn over it to clean it, which hurts my back. And then there is the rinsing with the shower head and/or cup, which sprays water all over myself and my otherwise cleaned bathroom.

No thank you!

But, now I have found my solution – Mr. Clean Magic Erasers. To use, simply wet, wring, and clean.Wet Wring Clean with Magic ErasersThe little nubby part on the Extra Power ones really help you scrub away dirt. Those dirty little circles from Previous Tenant are the brightest and whitest we’ve ever seen them!

And you know those dirty little marks you often get on the edges of your tub? Came off with a few easy wipes.Great before and after! Cleaning bathroom tips - how to clean a bathtub. Wish I would have used this before. The only thing I still couldn’t seem to remove 100% were the hard water/scum build-up at the front of the tub. But, they still became less noticeable.

P.S. I am sorry that my pictures don’t do it justice. Have you ever tried taking photos in a bathroom? The lighting is terrible, and our tub and tile are all white which is very hard to photograph. No, it’s not 100% white, but it is the most beautiful tub we’ve ever had! And it was so easy to clean.

I didn’t have to rinse the tub, and it even works on the tile and grout around the tub too. I am totally sold. Since it’s not a harsh chemical, my kids can use them to clean their bathrooms/tub (it’s one of their weekly chores). I also used it on my shower rod, which was in a desperate need of wiping:Mr Clean Magic Eraser Clean Shower Rod

My least favorite thing to clean is the bathtub! I have an old iron tub that has been re-enameled and part of that has peeled off. Hoping this Magic Eraser trick works well. I have tried so many different things!

  2. David says

My bathtub is my least favorite. I have 6those stains in the bottom my tub like yours, so I would love to see if they would work.

  3. Karen Glatt says

I really dislike cleaning the bathrooms. So germy and these Mr. Clean Magic erasers would really help me clean up my bathroom in a hurry!

  4. Becca says

Least favourite thing to clean . . . Can I just say my house? LOL. I joke (but it’s not entirely a joke) that I want my own little house, just for me, so when the kid-mess in this house gets too much I can just escape to my own clean and organised space. Because of course none of this mess is actually mine! 🙂

  5. Karen says

Sorry if this is a repeat. I don’t know where my comment went! I hate cleaning the bathrooms and the floors. They are both just so tedious!

  6. Leigh Anne Borders says

I really do not like cleaning at all but know it is just something that has to be done! I think if I had to choose one thing that is the worst, the bathroom! Esp in a household of three males.

  7. Melissa S says

I really detest cleaning the underneath of my range hood. Even with regular cleaning it gets so gross.

  8. Linda Szymoniak says

While I hate cleaning in general, I really hate cleaning the bathroom. Especially the toilet.

  9. Terri Irvin says

I can’t stand cleaning floors! But I have to do it daily because of pets. Also shower is no picnic either.

  10. Emily Benzing says

My least favorite to clean is the kitchen – that’s my partners job! It just gets too messy too fast

  11. Kelly says

Easy Off oven cleaner is the only thing that finally cleaned my shower pan after years of trying different things. I have found Tilex to work wonders on the bathroom grout – just spray and walk away – then rinse. Make sure to purchase the regular Tilex and not the Daily Shower spray.

  12. Beth Garrison says

What?? I am so going to try this. I have Mr. Clean Magic Erasers and NEVER thought of using them on the tub! My tub looks like yours in the picture!

  13. Angela Simmons says

I hate cleaning the toilets because the men in the house dont know how to pee in the toilet correctly lol

  14. Darlene Demell says

I really dislike cleaning the bathroom. It seems to always be the one room that needs the most work.

  15. Jenny says

The one thing that is NOT my favorite to clean is my garden tub & mirrors in the back. I’m short 5’1 1/2, and trying to get to the back is brutal on my back. It’s something that has to be done, so I got to do it. I need a extender so I don’t have to lean so much and scrub scrub scrub😊
