Introducing Books in Happy Meals 2013 from McDonaldsI am so excited to work with Katy from Indy With Kids and McDonald’s of Central Indiana for this fun campaign!  I love reading and my children love getting new books and eating McDonald’s fries.  So I am happy to announce that beginning November  1, 2013 McDonald’s  USA  invites families  to celebrate  the  joy  of  reading  with  the  Happy  Meal  Book  promotion,  which coincides  with National  Family  Literacy Day.

McDonald’s Happy Meal Books

Now through  Nov.  14,  children  who  order Happy  Meals  will  be  able to enjoy  one  of  four  different original books  featuring characters  from McDonald’s advertising  campaign.  Each  of the  four limited edition  books brings nutrition,  imagination  and  play  to  life  in  a  way  kids  can  understand.  Also  each  book  also comes  with its  very  own Happy Meal  bookmark  that kids  can  personalize.

The  four  limited edition  books  include:
The Goat Who Ate Everything - Start Your Adventure with Happy Meal Books
“The  Goat  Who  Ate  Everything”  –  Tells  a  story  of  a  goat  who  has  a  big  appetite  and  struggles  to  eat  right.  But  when  he  does,  he  feels  great  and  becomes  the  playful  ‘kid’  everyone  loves.
Deanna' Big Dream - 2013 Happy Meals Books from McDonalds“Deana’s  Big  Dreams”  –  Shares  how  Deana,  the  world’s  smallest  dinosaur,  grew  tall  by  eating  right.
Start Your Adventure with Happy Meal Books“Ant,  Can’t”  –  Features  Ant,  a  bite-sized  bodybuilder  who’s  big  on  encouraging  physical  fitness  through  exercise  and  eating  right.
Start Your Adventure with Happy Meal Books “Doddi  the  Dodo  Goes  to  Orlando”  –  Follows  happy-go-lucky  bird  Doddi  who  travels  the  world.  She  eats  right  because  this  dodo  is  always  on  the  go-go.
Happy  Meal  Books  is  the  latest  action  that  supports  McDonald’s  commitment  to  champion  children’s  happiness  and  well-‐being.  As  part  of  our  2011  “Commitments  to  Offer Improved  Nutrition  Choices,”  100%  of  McDonald’s  national communications  to  kids  since  January  2013  have  included  a nutrition  or  active  lifestyle  message.  And  through  the characters’ stories  in  Happy  Meal  Books,  the  Books  help  deliver  a  nutritional  or  active  play  message  that’s  relatable  and fun  for  kids.

McDonald’s Give a Book, Get a Book

One of my fave books to read to the kids is “Don’t let the pigeon drive the bus” I get them to be interactive with it and they’re always laughing. Of the 4 books from McDonald’s I’d like to read to them Ant Can
